How to use this resource

Research guidance
01

Find comparable injuries

Search terms such as tibia, fibula, spinal, brain injury, amputation, scarring or orthopaedic injuries can be used where those terms appear in the indexed case record.

02

Check the head of damage

Distinguish general damages from loss of earnings, earning capacity, medical expenses and undertakings. They are not interchangeable.

03

Read the judgment

The database is an index, not a substitute for the judgment. Review the evidence, injuries, sequelae, comparable authorities, contingencies and final order.

04

Record your own cases

The structure is designed to be expanded. Additional verified judgments can be added to the database without changing the search interface.
